An exquisite 18th century oak settle with a carved back panel on turned legs with a barley twist front stretcher. In good, sturdy condition with a really beautiful, rich patina. The seat has been re-corded, and a new feather cushion made for it, upholstered in "Thika" by Jim Thompson, sourced from Haines Collection. Below this cushion sits a slim pad which has been made to protect the upholstery from wear from the cording.

Sustainability
The average piece of furniture generates approximately 47kg of carbon dioxide equivalents – roughly the same as burning 5.3 gallons of petrol. Buying this item second-hand versus a newly made equivalent recovers the energy used to make it, rather than generating further emissions and using new materials.
