A George I Walnut Bureau, a beautiful and very original example. The fall-front over two short and two long drawers. Internally a central cupboard is surrounded by six drawer fronts and pigeonholes and a secret hideaway drawer, with a new green felt writing area. With stunning veneers, chevron banding in places and intricate ironmongery. Wearing its age with considerable grace, a fine example.
Part of the proceeds from the sale of this item will be donated to The Huguenot Museum in Rochester.

Sustainability
The average piece of furniture generates approximately 47kg of carbon dioxide equivalents – roughly the same as burning 5.3 gallons of petrol. Buying this item second-hand versus a newly made equivalent recovers the energy used to make it, rather than generating further emissions and using new materials.
